REDAS Marks 66th Anniversary with New Identity and $60,000 Pledge to President’s Challenge
Singapore, 13 November 2025 – The Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) marked its 66th anniversary with the launch of a new logo and a $60,000 pledge to the President’s Challenge, marking both the Association’s evolution and Singapore’s 60th year of nationhood.
Minister for National Development Mr Chee Hong Tat officiated the launch together with REDAS President Mr Tan Swee Yiow, and Immediate Past President Mr Chia Ngiang Hong at the REDAS 66th Anniversary Dinner held at Shangri-La Singapore.
The new logo features three dialogue boxes symbolising trust, progress and shared purpose among Government, Industry and Community. It reflects REDAS’ belief that meaningful dialogue fosters collective progress and stronger partnerships across the built environment.
Its accompanying tagline, “Transforming Spaces, Building Futures,” captures REDAS’ forward-looking mission to shape Singapore’s built environment for the next generation through innovation, sustainability and inclusivity.
“While REDAS began as a housing association in 1959, our members today shape every facet of Singapore’s urban landscape, from homes and offices to hotels, data centres and senior living,” said Mr Tan Swee Yiow, President of REDAS. “This new identity represents both our heritage and our continued commitment to create spaces that enrich lives and strengthen communities.”
To mark Singapore’s 60th year of nationhood, REDAS pledged $60,000 to the President’s Challenge 2025, reinforcing its commitment to nation building and community partnership.
“As we celebrate these milestones, we are reminded that progress is most meaningful when it benefits the wider community,” said Mr Tan. “This contribution reflects REDAS’ shared responsibility in supporting Singapore’s social causes and collective growth.”
Since its founding in 1959, REDAS has been a long-standing partner in Singapore’s development, working closely with the Government to shape housing policies, raise professional standards and promote a sustainable built environment.
Today, REDAS members remain key contributors to Singapore’s economy and urban growth, driving innovation and environmental stewardship across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. The Association continues to serve as a platform for dialogue and collaboration, bringing together the public and private sectors in shaping a resilient and forward-looking city.
An annual highlight for the Association, the 66th REDAS Anniversary Dinner brought together around 500 members, partners and guests from across the built environment sector. The evening featured speeches by President Tan and Minister Chee and the unveiling of the new logo, a symbol of renewal and continued partnership. More importantly, it served as a platform for the industry to strengthen ties, exchange ideas and forge new collaborations as it works together to shape Singapore’s future cityscape.
