We respect the privacy of individuals and recognizes the importance of the personal data you have entrusted to us and are committed to protecting the personal data about you that we have in our possession or that is under our control and do so in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”).
This Privacy Statement (together with our terms of use at https://www.redas.com/termsOfUse) sets out the basis on which we collect, use or disclose personal data about you and serves to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and/or disclose your Personal Data. According to the PDPA, personal data is any data that identifies you either by itself (such as your NRIC) or when combined with other data available to us (such as your membership number).
Please read this Privacy Statement carefully and contact our data protection officer if you have any questions about it or about how we collect, use or disclose personal data about you.
Personal data we may collect about you
We may collect the following personal data about you:
- name, organization, designation, e-mail address and contact number, financial and credit card information and billing address (where you purchase a paid version of our services), personal description and photograph.
You may give us personal data about you by filling up forms on our site or by otherwise interacting with us (such as by phone and e-mail). This includes personal data you provide when you register to use our Website, sign up for an account, use our services, sign up for events, activities, and contests, participate in focus groups, discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, apply for jobs, enrol in any events hosted by us or a vendor, request support, interact with our social media accounts or otherwise communicate with us, and when you report a problem with our Website.
- Personal data we collect about you.
With regard to each of your visits to our Website we may automatically collect the following information using cookies and/or other similar technology:
- services metadata, where you interact with our Website, metadata is generated that may provide additional context about the way you interact with the services. For example, we may log what third party services relate to our services (if any);
- technical information, including log data such as the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences and cookie data;
- information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); services and/or products you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number;
- device information, information about devices accessing our Website, including type of device, what operating system is used, device settings, application IDs, unique device identifiers and crash data. Whether we collect some or all, this information often depends on the type of device used and its settings;
- location information, where we receive information from you, your member, and other third parties that may help us approximate your location. We may, for example, use a business address submitted by your employer, or an IP address received from your browser or device to determine approximate location. we may also collect location information from devices in accordance with the consent process provided by your device;
- cookie information, as we use cookies and similar technologies in our Website to help us collect information. The Website may also include cookies and similar tracking technologies of third parties, which may collect information about you via the Website and across other websites and online services. - Personal data we collect from other sources.
We may receive personal data about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or the other services we provide. We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies) and may receive personal data about you from them. You may connect third party services to your Member Instance. Typically, such third-party services are software services that integrate with our services and/or Website, and a member can permit its authorized users to enable and disable these integrations for its Member Instance. We may also develop and offer in-house applications that connect our services with a third-party service. Once enabled, the provider of a third-party service may share certain information with us. For example, if a single sign-on service relates to us, we may receive the username and email address of authorized users, along with additional information that the application has elected to make available to us to facilitate the integration. Authorized users should check the privacy settings and notices in these third-party services to understand what data may be disclosed to us. When a third-party service is enabled, we are authorized to connect and access other information made available to us in accordance with any permission(s) granted by a member (including, by its authorized user(s)). We do not, however, receive or store passwords for any of these third-party services when connecting them to our services and/or Website.
- Third-party data
We may receive data about organizations, industries, lists of companies that are members, Website visitors, marketing campaigns and other matters related to our business from affiliates and subsidiaries, our partners, or others that we engage with to improve our own information. This data may be combined with other information we collect and might include aggregate-level data, such as which IP addresses correspond to zip codes or countries. Or it might be more specific: for example, how well an online marketing or email campaign performed.
How we use personal data about you
We collect, use and disclose personal data about you in the following ways (and we will seek your express consent where the PDPA requires us to do so):
- to administer your use of the Website
- to provide you with the Services
- to conduct direct marketing and lead generation activities relation to our services, special events and programs
- to communicate with members and Website visitors in relation to members’ care, user profile creation, account management, our services, special events and programs
- to respond to enquiries, update requests and feedback on user experience
- to analyse the use of our products, services or websites
- to monitor the movement of visitors to our physical premises for safety and/or security purposes
- to manage and administer student tech awards
- to process job applications, recruitment and selection
- to authorize 3rd party (prospective employer or authorized agency)’s access to online user profile for job recruitment
- for bank related matters, annual report filing and trustee matters
- to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us
- to provide you with information about goods or services we feel may interest you
- to notify you about changes to our service
- to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer
- to administer our Website and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes
- to improve our Website to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer

Disclosure of your personal data
We may share your personal data (and we will seek your express consent where the PDPA requires us to do so) with selected third parties including:
- Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you
- External professional advisors such as auditors, lawyers, consultants
- EDM/Email Service vendors
- Cloud Service Provider
- Insurance companies
- IT/technical support, IT service providers
- Web-hosting companies, cloud service providers
- Banks, payment card processing companies
- Recruitment Agencies / Headhunters / Prospective employers
- Commercial service and training providers
- Other government agencies such as Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Health, Infocomm Media Development Authority and where required to do so by law, we may disclose your contact information about you to the relevant authorities or to law enforcement agencies
- Advertisers and advertising networks that require the personal data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others. We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience
- Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our Website
- Credit reference agencies for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you
We may disclose your personal data to third parties:
- In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
- If our company or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers and members will be one of the transferred assets.

How we ensure accuracy of the personal data
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the contact information we collected about you is accurate, complete, not misleading and kept up to date. From time to time, we may do a data verification exercise for you to update us on any changes to the contact information we hold about you. If we are in an ongoing relationship with you, it is important that you update us of any changes to your contact information.
Where we store your personal data
The personal data that we collect from you are stored in Singapore. It may also be processed by staff operating outside Singapore who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Statement. Where there is a need to transfer your contact information to another country outside Singapore, we will ensure that the standard of data protection in the recipient country is comparable to that of Singapore’s PDPA. If this is not so, we will enter into a contractual agreement with the receiving party to accord similar levels of data protection as those in Singapore.
All personal data you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
We have implemented appropriate information security and technical measures such as data encryption, firewalls and secure network protocols, to protect your business contact information against loss; misuse; destruction; unauthorized alteration/modification, access, disclosure; or similar risks.
We have also put in place reasonable and appropriate organizational measures to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of your contact information and will only share the same with authorized persons on a ‘need to know’ basis
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received personal data about you, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
How we retain personal data
We have a document retention policy that keeps track of the retention schedules of the personal data in our possession, in paper or electronic forms. We will not retain any of your personal data when it is no longer needed for any business or legal purposes.
We will dispose of or destroy such documents containing your personal data in a proper and secure manner when the retention limit is reached.
Your rights
Where you have consented to us collecting, using or disclosing personal data about you, you have the right to withdraw that consent.
However, if you withdraw your consent, this may lead to us being unable to provide you with services.
You have the right to request for access the personal data about you that is in our possession or under our control and for information about how we have, or may have, used or disclosed it during the 12 months prior to your request. We may charge you a fee for providing this to you. If we intend to do so, we will provide you with information about the fee prior to charging it.
You have the right to request for correction of any error or omission in the personal data about you that is in our possession or under our control. If we make such a correction, we will notify all third parties who may be making any decision that affects you so that they can take the corrected personal data into account.
You may exercise any of these rights by writing to our data protection officer at the contact details given below. We may require you to give us evidence of your identity before acting on your request.
