Media Statement | URA’s Draft Master Plan 2025 | 25 Jun 2025

25 Jun, 2025

“The Draft Master Plan 2025 offers a clear and thoughtful vision for Singapore’s future. It lays the groundwork for a more liveable, inclusive and resilient city, while planning for the needs and aspirations for generations to come.

Proposals such as revitalised business hubs, more flexible industrial zoning and relaxed height limits offer practical opportunities for growth and expansion. At the same time, plans to enhance heritage conservation, integrate green and blue networks and activate underutilised spaces reflect a balanced planning approach, allowing focus on progress while preserving identity and community.  These plans will also continue to help strengthen Singapore’s position as one of the most attractive and liveable global cities in Asia and the world.

Since 1959, REDAS members have been committed and collaborative partners in Singapore’s nation-building journey, helping shape not just the skyline, but also the places where people live, work and connect. As developments become increasingly multidimensional, REDAS remains steadfastly committed to partnering with government and stakeholders to co-create sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready spaces that carry long-term value and offer plentiful opportunities for generations to come.”
