Condo, HDB rents up in September; strong demand ensures landlord’s market
Singapore – Rents for Housing Board flats and private apartments picked up pace last month, with analysts noting that more pressure could be placed on the rental market after the latest round of cooling measures.

Windfalls from resale exec condos make them an alluring buy for HDB upgraders
Executive condominiums (ECs) are increasingly seen as a golden ticket for Housing Board (HDB) upgraders, with nearly 300 units yielding S$500,000 in resale profit as at Aug 29. Nearly all the sampled 4,266 ECs netted around S$300,000 in gross profits, as demand far exceeds supply, according to a profit analysis by OrangeTee.

Strong interest in auction properties in Q3 prior to Sep 30 cooling measures: SRI
Three properties went for a total of S$7.6 million at the latest auction held by Singapore Realtors Inc (SRI) on Sep 30, which coincided with the implementation of recent cooling measures.
