The celebration is a time for the real estate community to come together and strengthen the bonds within the industry.

We were honoured to have Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and National Development, as our Guest of Honour.

During her opening address, Ms Indranee Rajah announced enhancements to the Accredited Checker (AC) framework from September 2028. ACs and AC Organisations taking on larger, more complex projects will need to show relevant recent experience and a good track record, while requirements for smaller, lower-risk projects will be scaled to the risks involved. There will be a two-year transition period, and contracts awarded before September 2028 will not be affected. From 2028, registration and renewal validity for ACs, ACOs and Specialist ACs will also be extended from 12 to 36 months, to reduce administrative work.

She also asked developers to make more room for families in their projects, from family-friendly common spaces in malls to lactation rooms in commercial buildings, and encouraged them to look at flexible work arrangements as employers too. Read her full speech here.
