WORKSHOP OVERVIEW    

This is a course curated for real estate industry players to appreciate how Property Valuation is applied and the considerations/challenges involved in driving the numbers when valuing real estate from a practitioner’s point of view. The course is ideal for participants whom in the course of their work deal with valuation issues for various purposes and would like to see the issues from the valuer’s point of view. 

 

LEARNING OUTCOME

This is not an elementary course although some principles, methods and techniques used in valuations will be mentioned. The emphasis will be on the applications and the challenges facing the valuers when undertaking property valuations in various aspect of the practice.

 

The course seeks to cover 4 key areas in a practical sense through a combination of theoretical learning and case studies.

TRAINER’S PROFILE

Png Poh Soon – Head of Valuation & Advisory Services, Singapore 

CBRE Singapore

 

Poh Soon is a qualified real estate valuer and has about 20 years of real estate experience in the Singapore property market. He is currently the Executive Director and Head of Valuation & Advisory Service with CBRE Singapore.

 

Poh Soon’s professional advisory experience included valuation, research and consultancy projects for government agencies, real estate investment trusts, property developers, financial institutions and institutional investors. He has been personally involved in the appraisal of properties in the residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial, educational, medical and retail sectors of the Singapore property market.

 

Poh Soon also provide advisory services and served as an Expert Witness in litigation, property tax and compulsory land acquisition cases for both public and private organisations.

 

He has a Master of Science (Real Estate) from the National University of Singapore and is currently an appointed member of the Valuation Review Board as well as an appointed member of the Disciplinary Panel under Council of Estate Agent.
